Chief Warrant Officer 2 Robin L. Runkle

CW2 Runkle was born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in Orient, Ohio, I attended Ohio Dominican University, Columbus Ohio, where I received in Associate of Science in Business Administration in 2003 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Human Resource Management 2008. I also received a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from The Ohio State University in 2016.
In 1985, I enlisted in the Army Reserves and attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC. Upon Completion, I attended AIT Engineer School at Fort Leonard, MO as a Heavy Equipment Repairer. In January 1986, I enlisted into the Active Army where I served a year in Yongsan, Korea and then transferred to Fort Drum, New York where I spent the remainder of my enlistment. I joined the New York National Guard in 1991. In 1993, I moved to Columbus, Ohio and enlisted in the Ohio National Guard in January 2000 as a 75H (Admin Clerk). I was enlisted as a Non Commissioned Officer where I rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class. Then I went to Warrant Officer Basic Course where I received my appointment as a Warrant Officer on September 1, 2010 as a Human Resources Administration Officer.
My initial assignment with the 514th Maintenance Company, Fort Drum New York had one combat tour in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm, Persian Gulf 1991.
I also deployed in support of Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom 2003-2008 working at Human Resource Command, Alexandria VA as a Personnel Actions Specialist. 2008-2014 worked for Human Resources Command, Alexandria VA, as a Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Case Manager.
